Jump into the roaring 20's through this 2 week programme, designed for young performers aged 14-18 years. Over 10 days participants will create their own immersive theatre performance of the legendary tale of The Great Gatsby.
Students will work with industry professionals from Les Enfants Terribles and Secret Cinema, and to create site specific magic in our art deco theatre. Covering devising, page to stage, costume design, Charleston dance, and a trip to London on the 30th July to visit a live theatre performance. The Final works will be a performance to the public the evening of Friday 7th August.
Through this programme participants will complete a Bronze Arts Award, which is a nationally recognised qualification for arts participant; the cost of which is included in the participation cost.
This programme runs Monday to Friday 27th July – 7th August 10am – 4.30pm.
Programme participation fee is £200 per young person.
The fee includes all sessions, transport and tickets for the Theatre Trip, and 2 tickets to the final performance.
10am to 4:30pm per day
£200 for the full 10 days.
Upgrade to Silver Arts Award possible if a Bronze has been completed with either The Assembly Hall Theatre or The Amelia previously.
London Trip will take place on Thursday 30th July. Leaving and Return times will be confirmed no later that 2 weeks prior, however the start time may be slightly earlier than usual (from Tunbridge Wells Station) and return will be later than 4.30pm.
