Do you offer discounts for schools or group bookings?
We try to negotiate discounts for groups, but we do this on an event-by-event basis. Please get in touch by phone or email if you’d like to make a group booking.
How can I access lower priced tickets?
We offer tickets at lower prices for every performance on a first-come-first-served basis, so book early to get our lowest prices.
Do you offer discounts for children, students and people over 60?
Yes. We want as many people as possible to enjoy our diverse programme of events, so we’ll always try to offer as many discounts as possible. Discounts vary from show to show, so check the event information carefully to see what’s available. Remember, you may need ID when booking.
Are there any tickets available for those on limited incomes?
Yes. We’re part of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council’s free Go! Card scheme, where card holders can purchase up to 2 tickets, subject to availability, at a reduced rate for selected performances. (See here for additional details on the scheme.) In addition, we’re pleased to offer ‘Pay What You Can’ seats to Go! Card holders for a selection of events, with tickets available from the box office 60 minutes in advance of the performance. You won’t pay anything up front, have the option to pay what you can afford as you leave the show.
Can I buy vouchers to give as presents?
Yes. We think theatre vouchers make a fantastic and original gift. Choose from £5, £10 or £20 vouchers, which can be used for any of our events.
Can I book tickets online?
Yes! It’s faster and cheaper to buy your tickets online, and you can do it here.
How much is your booking fee?
We try to keep or fees as low as possible. Book online and you’ll pay a fee of £0.85 per ticket. It’s £2 if you choose to book your ticket in person or over the phone.
Do I need to print my tickets if I’ve booked online?
No. If you have a smartphone or tablet, simply show us your e-ticket when you arrive for your performance. Or you’re welcome to print your tickets at home, should you wish.
Can I collect my tickets from the box office?
We’re happy to print your tickets for your collection at a cost of £1.75 per transaction (on top of your booking fee), but please remember to bring the credit or debit card you used to book them.
Will you post me my tickets?
If you’d like us to post your tickets, the cost will be £2.50 per transaction, in addition to the booking fee.
Is Assembly Hall Theatre a fully accessible venue?
Yes, we want everyone to be able to benefit from our varied range of events. We have a free accessibility membership scheme with easy online booking – simply click here to register. We also arrange signed performances of selected shows and have an audio enhancement system with headsets available on request.
Can my carer accompany me for free?
Yes. If you use a wheelchair or are unable to move independently around all areas within the theatre, your carer is entitled to a free ticket.
Can I bring my buggy to the theatre?
Due to limited storage space, we’d be grateful if you didn’t bring your buggy, if at all possible.
