The legendary Sir David Suchet, best known for portraying Hercule Poirot for over two decades, is retracing the steps of Agatha Christie herself.

He follows the same journey that Christie embarked upon at the start of her writing career — to discover more about the woman behind the world's greatest mysteries.

When the project was first announced, Suchet said: "I feel that [Christie] will be sitting on my shoulders at every moment, urging me on to share her passion for knowledge, travel, archeology and, of course, mystery."

And after completing the journey, he reflected: "I was learning about the character of a young lady who loved surfing, who loved socialising, who actually, when her early stories were published, would willingly give press interviews."
