Interviewed by Henry J Cockburn.
Nicci French is the pseudonym for the writing partnership of journalists Nicci Gerrard and Sean French. Join them to discuss crafting bestselling psychological thrillers that have had readers hooked for decades. This event will be a retrospective looking back on their work together so far, what makes a good thriller and what is coming next.
Nicci Gerrard and Sean French write seamless novels while pursuing their own writing careers, and raising a family of four young children in Suffolk. Their novels include The Memory Game, The Safe House, Killing Me Softly, Beneath the Skin and The Red Room.
Jenny Morris lives in Crowborough, the home of Winnie the Pooh. She loves a moral dilemma, and writes high-concept crime novels that explore deep philosophical questions like, 'How much would I have to pay you to eat a human toe?'
She has a PhD in Cognitive Psychology and works as a Behavioural Scientist. When not reading or writing, she enjoys galloping around the Ashdown Forest on a horse, foraging for mushrooms, and getting way too intense about board games at the pub.
Henry J. Cockburn is the author of The Curious Business of Percival Lowe (Olympia, 2024) and the co-host of the podcast Lines and Dots. Having studied Classics at St John's College Oxford, he has worked extensively in education and for some of the UK's most prestigious schools. A passionate musician, he won the BBC Radio 3 Carol Competition in 2022. He is currently based in York.
