After rave reviews from Assembly Hall audience members, Live Next To The Apollo returns to Tunbridge Wells this Summer. In February we brought the likes of Jen Brister (star of Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week and Have I Got News For You) and Laura Smyth (star of Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News For You and 8 Out of Ten Cats Does Count Down) to the Assembly Hall Theatre.
Sara Pascoe
Sara Pascoe is a highly-regarded British comedian known for her philosophical, intelligent, and deeply personal stand-up comedy that blends relatable anecdotes with social commentary, often on topics like feminism, relationships and motherhood. As seen on Last One Laughing, Taskmaster, Live at the Apollo, QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Mock the Week to name a few!
Esther Manito
Esther Manito is a comedian from Essex, her comedy revolves around motherhood, identity and her Lebanese father's hilarious takes on life. A former teacher, she began her comedy career in 2016 and became a finalist of the prestigious So You Think You're Funny? award that same year. Her meteoric rise culminated in back-to-back, sell-out national tours in 2024 and 2025.
Esther has provided tour support for comic heavy weights such as Alan Davies, Shappi Khorsandi, Sindhu Vee, Jason Manford, Jo Brand and Al Murray. You will have seen her on Live at the Apollo (BBC), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV) and Hypothetical (Dave) to name but a few.
Stephen K Amos
Stephen K Amos has charmed and entertained audiences all over the world for decades with his natural, assured delivery and his honest, original material. A gifted actor, Amos has impressed critics with his performances on stage and screen and has proved he is one of the most unique comedy voices of his generation. Comfortable as a performer, presenter, actor and guest there is no doubt that Amos will retain his position as one of the nation's favourite comedians for a long time to come. Stephen has such an enormous list of TV credits, we're not even going to start to try and list them!
Finally Christie
At 19, Finlay became one of the youngest ever winners of the prestigious So You Think You're Funny competition, following in the footsteps of Peter Kay, Lee Mack and Sarah Millican. He is a viral sensation and internet superstar with nearly 1,000,000 followers across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. His material is based a round his gilded upbringing and privileged experience as a Gen Z; always self-depricating with good grace. He has appeared on Live At The Apollo, 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Bake Off Extra Slice. He is hot, new(ish) talent and is highly in demand!
